I finally got the hose defrosted and hooked up and the pool is filling with water as I type!! so as not to drain my well I'll only let it fill for about 2 hrs. then shut it off and then again later for 2 hrs. I have set a kitchen timer so I don't forget about it !!!
I decided that since Sony was doing so well and the stiffness has been less and less I would let her do some one jump work from Linda Mecklenburgs developing jumping skills book.I started out at 12" and did just a few reps, she seemed to struggle a bit like it was a big effort but got better. I gave her a break and came back to it a bout 15 minutes later. she walked out of her crate just fine and was very eager to work again so we started out at 12" but now it seemed easier for her. I put it up to 16" and again it seemed like an effort but quickly she got better. I am wondering if she is protecting herself thinking it will hurt, and as she realizes it won't she relaxes. again when I got her home I saw no stiffness and she seemed fine.
I was asked about her doing a seminar in early March and I was hesitant because I really want her strong and I think that may be too soon. I spoke with Melanie about it and she agreed . Sony's work revolves around getting her leg strong and getting her fit. running courses will be soon enough !
